Tasty Treats at Chefs’ Feast

photo (9)Everyone knows I love a good, swanky party with lots of great food and drinks. A good night out in a great dress is one of the pleasures in life. I’ll never shy away from the opportunity.

And that’s why I love going to the annual Chef’s Feast Fundraiser benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. This year, the event theme was “Tune in to Fight Hunger”. In other words, a TV theme. Right up my alley.

Courtney Francisco, Latasha Givens and I took a long lunch break  in between stories at KFOR last Thursday and made an appearance. And yes, friends, the 2013 Chefs’ Feast didn’t disappoint my palate, or my eyes. As we walked around the banquet hall at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, we tasted treats from all over the Oklahoma City’s best restaurants. You name it, the chef was there. And at Chefs’ Feast, the whole night is a sort of competition. Restaurants want to be the best– so they bring out the best.

This year, that meant treats that played off the classic TV shows of TV. We loved it. So did our stomachs! photo (10)

And, how did the fundraiser do? Well, I am glad to say the even raised over $115,000 for the food bank! Now that’s something to really sink your teeth into!
